Castrisch is a Romansh village with about 400 inhabitants and is located east of the city of Ilanz at 720 m above sea level on a level above the Vorderrhein. It is part of the municipality Ilanz.

The transport hub Ilanz railway station is about 2.5 km away. The distance to the shopping center Migros is just over 2 km. The connecting road between Castrisch and Ilanz was rebuilt in 2010 and equipped with a bike/pedestrian path. Public transport: RhB railway station and Ilanz-Versam post bus line. With the RhB, Chur can be reached from Castrisch in 30 minutes.
