This is a big area, with a wide choice of property types and locations. Saint Gervais Les Bains is becoming an increasingly popular base, especially since L'Oreal group purchased and began restoration of the Société des Thermes in 2016. High quality apartments here are still below €10,000/m2, and chalets just outside the centre can be found in the €9-14,000/m2 range. Around Combloux, on the slopes leading up to Bettex or Saint Nicholas de Veroce are lovely locations to consider for a chalet - most will have terrific views across the valley, the Aravis massif and/or Mont-Blanc. Large chalets here fetch in the region of €10-12,000/m2, but less if some refurbishment is required. Generally speaking, the closer to Demi-Quartier or Megève, the higher the price. The area has many ancient farmhouses in the pastures that have been restored or are perfect specimens for a project.
