Summer in the Alps – Kitzbühel

#supportourskiresorts : a new initiative from Alpine Property intelligence.

The coronavirus knows no boundaries, it has been a tragedy of the likes we have never seen, nor wish to ever see again. As the lock-downs start to ease, we hope it is possible that those who wish to return to the Alps again may do so, perhaps in the summer.

We know the Alps are becoming an ever more popular summer destination, this will surely increase. Why sit on a crowded beach when you have vast spaces, clean air, lots of sunshine and beautiful scenery? The benefits for property owners are clear, either to use it yourself, or to increase rental income. Prospective buyers may have their first opportunity for visits over the summer months.

APi has written a little about summer in the Alps, there is a lot more to write about. The agents APi is partnered with live and work in the resorts, they know the place and local property market better than anyone. We are focusing on some of the finest resorts in the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps.

Why you should visit Kitzbühel this summer, by Cum Laude Immobilia

What makes Kitzbühel so special in summer?

The unique mountain scenery and the pleasant temperatures. In Kitzbühel alone we have 4 exclusive golf courses and in the entire region around Kitzbühel about 20 golf courses that can be reached within 2 hours. Kitzbühel is also known for its good restaurants.

Are the ski lifts in operation in summer?

Yes, the ski lifts opened last week. Not all, but the Hahnenkammbahn and the Hornbahn.

Are the shops and restaurants open?

Yes, everything is open and everything has normalized.

Is the infrastructure open in summer?

Yes, of course. Kitzbühel is also known for there being a lot going on in summer and the infrastructure is intact.

Is Kitzbühel better suited for families, adventurers or both?

For families, for couples who like to play golf, eat and visit a nice wellness hotel. The adventurers also get their money’s worth. Rafting, biking, mountaineering, everything is possible.

Where can I stay – is there a good choice of chalets or apartments for rent?

Yes, we have good hotels here, for example. Kitzhof, Rasmushof or Arosa Hotel are great. Chalets can also be booked individually.

Can your agency help with the rental? Or where would you advise looking?

We do not do short-term rentals ourselves, but we have a very good partner who can provide our customers with more than 200 rental properties.

What would be the best advice for potential buyers and sellers in the current situation?

Due to the current high demand for real estate in the Kitzbühel area, I would advise the sellers not to give any great discounts. I advise buyers to make a quick decision because the supply is limited and the demand is very high.
